Help Year 4 children build fluency and confidence with their multiplication facts up to 12 × 12. This Maths topic pack brings times tables to life through seven hands-on games and activities — covering key KS2 multiplication recall skills in an engaging, practical way.

Pupils roll and colour their way through times tables, play bingo and dominoes to sharpen recall, create array artwork, spin and sort multiplication facts, match questions to answers, and race along a board game track — all while developing the mental strategies they need to recall facts quickly and accurately.

Teaching Tips +

These activities work brilliantly as morning starters, maths warm-ups, or end-of-week games sessions. Multiplication Bingo and the Board Game are particularly effective for groups of 2–4 players and can be differentiated by choosing specific times tables to focus on. Multiplication Dominoes works well as an independent or paired activity — encourage children to verbalise the strategies they use. Array Art makes a great cross-curricular link with Art and Design and looks fantastic as a classroom display. Multiplication Spinners can be adapted by targeting a single times table or mixing tables for a greater challenge. Matching Pairs is ideal as a fast-paced memory game to round off a lesson.
