The KS2 Book Challenge includes a variety of activities, so there's something for every student. For example, students can listen to an audiobook, read a graphic novel, read a biography, read a joke book, read some poetry, read a book with a one-word title, read about one of their hobbies, read a wordless book, read a cook/recipe book, or read a factual book.
By participating in the KS2 Book Challenge, students will not only improve their reading skills, but also expand their knowledge in a variety of subjects. For example, reading a factual book can help them learn more about history, science, or geography, while reading a cook/recipe book can teach them about healthy eating habits and cooking techniques.
We hope you'll encourage your students to participate in the KS2 Book Challenge. It's a fun and engaging way to meet the requirements of the English national curriculum while also helping your students develop a lifelong love of reading.
